Why I’ve been MIA

Okay… so….

In January, my husband and I began to play Second Life. It’s a virtual world, for those who don’t know.

In February, we met this girl… we soon developed feelings for her.

In April, we met her in real life. She’s been to our house twice now and is eventually moving in with us.

We’re redefining love.

We never would’ve looked for this, and never could’ve imagined we’d want it. If you’d told us this in January, we’d have laughed our asses off.

But it’s real, and should we walk away just because it defies convention?

It’s complicated and yet so effortless. We all just fit together.

So… that’s what has kept me busy these past few months. It’s a good busy, at least.

xoxo,

Juliet

    Good for you, Juliet :-) I’m so happy to hear that you and your husband are feeling this way, and like you said, it shouldn’t matter that it rejects what society considers to be the ‘normal’ definition of love.

    Wonderful to hear! I have several polyamorous friends, and they too expressed the same contentment and feeling of finding that missing piece once the right one, or two, came along to complete their family.
    Hope that the pieces fit together so well that there’s no getting them apart eventually. {hugs}

    That sounds wonderful. What an interesting surprise! It is amazing that you and your husband developed feelings for the same person at the same time. I guess it shows that the two of you fit together well, too. I hope it all works out.

    Thank you all… I wasn’t sure what sort of reaction this would get. ;) But it’s too big a part of my life to NOT blog about.

    Tiana, I think you hit the nail on the head… he and I do fit very well together, and even though we’re all unique people, we just mesh so well.

    It’s awesome… complicated at times, but amazingly beautiful, too.

    Wow, I guess that would keep you busy! Life changes always seem to take up a lot of time that way, no? I’m so glad you’re happy and that everyone is on the same page. I’m really interested in how you’ve adjusted, but don’t know if you’ll be interested in blogging about it. I would understand if you didn’t want to take you’re blog down that road quite yet. Mazal tov to all of you.
